Patient, warm and encouraging, Sophia eagerly finds ways to foster each individual student’s confidence and creativity in her lessons at The Fulham Study.
Sophia has tutored children from the ages of 5-18 extensively both here and in Australia, as well as teaching English as a second language to adults and children whilst studying abroad in Germany. With a big love for the English language and its literature, Sophia supports her students to improve upon areas of weakness/low confidence and in their preparation for examinations by working at the child’s own level, and ensuring that her lessons strike a balance between consolidating the child’s knowledge, and integrating new, more advanced challenges into their learning.
With a wealth of experience in childcare, Sophia thoroughly enjoys working with children of all ages and getting to know her students in a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
She is currently working towards an MA in Gender and Law at the School of Oriental and African Studies, with particular interests in migration, disability, and women’s access to education.
